While the Jenkins Club decided to keep no minutes, these records give insight into its operations over the years. Dr. Payne's own manuscript in folder one gives the history of the organization and career information about many of its members. Folder two also contains a wealth of information about the careers of several members. Apparently it was the practice of the club to send a collection of research published by members to new members for review. Folder 4 contains a selection of articles sent to member Dr. Thomas Dyer.

The collection consists of papers related to the establishment of the Georgia Commission on the Status of Women in Atlanta, Georgia, from 1962, and 1972-1975. Correspondence and memorandums are mainly from Dorothy Gibson, Louise McBee, Jeanne Cahill, and Gladys Denton. Some of the subject matters include the Equal Rights Amendment, committees that make up the Commission on the Status of Women, activities, and pamphlet publications. The collection also consists of committee reports, meeting minutes, rosters of the Georgia Commission on the Status of Women, and pamphlets published by the Commission (and pamphlets published by other organizations, such as National Woman's Party, U.S. Department of Labor, and Citizens' Advisory Council on the Status of Women). Additionally, there are some clippings concerning equal rights, the Equal Rights Amendment, Governor Jimmy Carter's claim concerning the Women's Commission; and questionnaires concerning ERA ratification, and a study of working women in Georgia.

This collection includes minutes, reports and support documents dating from 1822 to 1967. The faculty minutes for 1846 to 1850 and 1890 to 1902 are missing and may have been destroyed in the Library fire of 1904. In addition, the collection is missing the minutes from 1934 through 1944 but does include the ones from 1945 through 1957. There are also a few minutes from 1958 to 1967. The faculty records relate to matters regarding curriculum, self-governance, administration functions and student discipline. They date from 1894 through 1909.

Inculded are the Works Progress Administration of Georgia History Records Survey, Field Worker's Correspondence Forms; State Editorial Identification Forms; Questionnaire to all mayors for data on points of interest in cities; Federal Writer's Project, Instructions for Architectural Series, American Building Materials; and correspondence from Works Progress Administration of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, regarding compilation of The American Guide and the State Guide. The remainder of the collection contains histories of Georgia cities, towns, and people, including (but not limited to) hospitals, parks, military organizations, landmarks, music, architecture, and agriculture.

This collection includes original data accumulated by weather bureau offices in both Atlanta's city (1878-1954) and airport (1931-1970) offices, Augusta (1870-1936), and Columbus (1946-1995). Included are handwritten hourly, daily, and monthly meteorological and climatological data sheets, reports, and observations. The Columbus records also include station log books (1942-1995) regarding equipment and expenses and several photographs of the office (1946, 1948). The general series has two volumes that relate to weather across the state, "Damaging weather in Georgia" and "Temperature average data sheets."

Included are correspondences; two small account books; and Certificate no. 2457, for the purchase of a tract of land in Montgomery, Alabama, by Arthur B. Davis of Muscogee, Georgia. The collection also includes documents concerning enslaved people owned by the Johnston family: bill of sales for a slave received by Richard Johnston; wills of Malcolm Johnston and E. L. Johnston; "List of property belonging to M. Johnston," listing 800 acres of land, and the name, sex, age, and monetary value of enslaved people.
